About The Tree Pros
The Tree Pros is a directory of tree service businesses in the United States, plus practical guides for homeowners who are about to hire one. We currently list 149 businesses across 2 states, and we are adding cities steadily rather than all at once.
Where the listings come from
Every listing describes a real, operating business. We compile them from public sources and from businesses that submit themselves. We record where each record came from and when we last confirmed it.
Listing descriptions may draw on information a business publishes about itself — its own website or public listing — so they reflect what the company says about its own services.
If a field is blank on a listing — no website, no address, no hours — it is because we do not have that information, not because it is hidden. We would rather show less than guess.
What we will not do
- Invent anything. No made-up phone numbers, addresses, licence numbers, credentials, years in business or service areas. Unknown fields stay empty.
- Fake ratings. We show a star rating only once a business has at least three published reviews from real, email-verified people. Below that we show nothing rather than a misleading average.
- Hide bad reviews. Negative reviews are published like any other. Our review guidelines list the only grounds on which a review can be rejected.
- Disguise paid placement. Featured listings are always labelled “Featured”. Paying does not affect reviews and does not remove competitors.
How we make money
Three ways, and we would rather say so plainly: businesses will be able to pay for featured placement (not open yet); we pass quote requests to businesses; and some links in our guides are affiliate links, which are labelled where they appear.
We are not a tree service
The Tree Pros does not perform tree work, does not employ arborists, and is not a party to any agreement you make with a business listed here. We do not endorse, vet or guarantee any listed company. Verify insurance and credentials yourself before hiring — our guide on what the credentials mean explains how.
Something wrong?
Use the “report an issue” link on any listing, or contact us. If you own a listed business and want a detail corrected or the listing removed, tell us and we will act on it.
